Let’s be honest, WWE can state that there are as many WrestleMania main events as they wish, but the only official main event is the match that goes on last.

According to an article on SI.com, the match that is currently scheduled to be the finale of the night in Orlando is the Universal Championship match between current champion Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.

This means that the match between Bray Wyatt and former Wyatt Family member Randy Orton for the WWE Championship from the SmackDown brand will go on before it, and the Eater Of Worlds himself commented on the news.

He said: “If I were Goldberg or Brock Lesnar, I wouldn’t want to have to go on after me and Randy. From their standpoint, I wouldn’t want to be them and have to go on after us.”

Neither Brock Lesnar or Goldberg appeared on Monday Night Raw this past week to build up their match with less than two weeks to go until the biggest event of the year. Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were present on SmackDown and continued the build towards what is currently one of the most highly anticipated showdowns of the night.

Even though it is often stated that it doesn’t actually matter who is last on the card at WrestleMania, it does and it is a huge honor to many wrestlers, for WWE to give it to two part-timers who have wrestled less than five minutes each in the past three months, is slightly disrespectful.

  1. Honestly speaking, Whytt vs Ortan is the only Wrestlemania match that has a proper build-up for months. its the only match that has months long rivalry fueling it up. Rest of the matches were just made up without any proper storyline and proper fued history, that’s why Orton vs Bray is gonna be most epic and best match of the event.
