Alexa Bliss has been one of the top stars in WWE’s women’s division for years now and for the majority of her run on the main roster she’s worked as a heel.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion has tweaked her persona as of late so that she can be perceived as a face, and she recently opened up about the changes she’s had to make during an interview with Metro.
“It’s been very interesting, being the bad guy for six years and then all of a sudden being told, ‘Oh you’re a good guy.’ So I’m definitely working on getting rid of those bad guy tendencies – it’s still in my nature to scream at the ref and throw a temper tantrum in the ring, but hopefully I can gear it towards another direction!”
“A lot of times I just don’t keep a straight face. When I was a bad guy, I used to have to keep a straight face all the time, even when stuff was funny. I find that when I’m a good guy I can just laugh things off and it doesn’t really break character that much.”
Bliss has been aligned with Nikki Cross for some time now, and although originally it seemed that the storyline was building toward Bliss turning on Cross, Alexa insisted that she’s hoping to keep their partnership going as long as possible.
