It’s been a big week for WWE fans as The Rock returned on the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown then confronted Roman Reigns. As of right now all signs point to The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 with the match expected to be officially announced at the press conference in Las Vegas on Thursday.

There are plenty of fans on social media who are voicing their opinions and letting the world know that they’re less than thrilled that Cody Rhodes won’t be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania following his Royal Rumble win. It appears that some fans even booed The Rock when his image was shown during the NXT Vengeance Day premium live event on Sunday night.

Fightful Select is reporting that throughout the show fans would boo when The Rock was shown on WrestleMania graphics. It’s also being reported that efforts were made by production to cover up the negative reaction.

It’s worth noting that fans at the WWE live event in Knoxville this weekend also appeared to boo The Rock when footage of The Great One’s return was shown.
