The first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble is set to be a big event and WWE obviously needs to treat it with a lot of respect considering how this is one of the highest points of the WWE Women’s Revolution.
But there is always some worry going into a big deal with WWE because it’s always up in the air how they’ll book things. After all, creative decisions can change at the drop of a hat and are often part of Vince McMahon’s fickle decision-making process. But you also have to take into consideration the track record WWE has going into the big show and if you think about it hard enough it might worry you even more.
But all roads lead to WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble will certainly give a jumpstart toward the show of shows.
It looks like Ronda Rousey might be coming into WWE and there are several ways you could book her emergence in Vince’s Palace Of Powerslams. Bryan Alvarez recently discussed WWE’s initial intentions with Rowdy Ronda Rousey on Wrestling Observer Live while going into depth on how a possible match in Rousey’s future is not the right way to go in the slightest.
“When they first had Ronda Rousey appear at WrestleMania and Stephanie [McMahon] was in the ring with her they were very clearly setting up a mixed tag. The Rock and Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie. Fine, okay? Fine, if that’s what you wanna do. If you can get all of those individuals all at the same time that’s a fine match to make, okay?”
“The Rock’s unavailable or if he is available I have heard nothing about Rock at WrestleMania this year in a match, okay? There’s no reason in the world to waste Ronda Rousey on Stephanie McMahon. None, there’s no reason for this. I don’t care how big anyone’s ego is in this company, that’s a stupid match to make. A singles match, Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon, you couldn’t book a worse match than Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon, it ain’t gonna happen. It’s not going to happen. I refuse — I will will it out of existence.”
