A few weeks ago Triple H unveiled the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt and he recently declared that a tournament would be held to crown a new champion. Wrestlers from both Raw and SmackDown are included in the tournament which is set to culminate at Night of Champions.

Two triple threat matches were held on Raw this week with the winners competing in the main event, and now WWE has announced the following matches for Friday Night SmackDown:

Edge vs. AJ Styles vs. Rey Mysterio

Austin Theory vs. Sheamus vs. Bobby Lashley

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor won their respective triple threat matches on Monday Night Raw this week and Rollins ended up defeated Balor in the main event. We’ll have to see who comes out on top on SmackDown this week and ends up facing Seth Rollins at Night of Champions on May 27. Stay tuned for updates.
