There are a lot of WWE stars who are working their way up the ladder right now and Austin Theory has been one of the names to watch on Monday Night Raw. Theory is the current United States Champion and it looks like the future is bright for the former Money in the Bank winner.

John Cena is set to return to Raw on Monday, March 6th and it’s expected that a Theory vs. Cena match for the US Title will be set up for WrestleMania 39. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Austin Theory is a major project for WWE as the company wants him to be a top guy for a long.

Cena last wrestled when he returned to the ring during the December 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown when he teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Sami Zayn & Roman Reigns. It was later reported that WWE filmed something with Theory and Cena at SmackDown, but it’s not clear what that was.

One way or another if WWE finally does confirm Cena vs. Theory then it seems that Austin Theory will be involved in one of the biggest matches on the WrestleMania card. Last year at WrestleMania, Austin Theory was defeated by Pat McAfee, so it will be interesting to see if he’s able to pick up a victory on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Stay tuned for updates.
