WWE Superstars Now Allowed To Use Previously Banned Word

It’s no big secret that WWE has a list of words that their Superstars are not allowed to use, but it looks like one word has made it off the banned list.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that wrestlers are once again allowed to use the word “belts.”

It was also noted that WWE is now using the word “belts” for advertising materials that involve championship belts.

It’s not known exactly why the word was removed from the banned list, but it appears that Vince McMahon has changed his mind.

WWE recently sent out a list of banned words to local officials in the Tampa Bay Area prior to the WrestleMania 36 conference that noted “belt” and “strap” were not to be used when referring to titles. The full list can be seen here.
