Over the last few weeks former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has been talking a lot about her time with the company while promoting her new book. Recently Rousey claimed that Drew Gulak inappropriately grabbed her sweatpants string backstage at a WWE event, and it was later reported that Drew Gulak had been pulled from his previously scheduled appearances.
During this week’s episode of NXT, Drew Gulak was written off TV during a segment featuring the D’Angelo Family and No Quarter Catch Crew when Tony D’Angelo said the NQCC came to his family because they needed them to “take care” of one of their own. Gulak was not specifically mentioned by name during the segment.
While talking about Drew Gulak’s status on Fightful’s NXT post-show Corey Brennan confirmed that there are no creative plans for Gulak at the moment, and that Gulak’s name is not to be mentioned on television.
“There’s a directive right now not to mention Drew Gulak. That is something I can say with absolute certainty. They don’t want to bring attention to it.”
Brennan added that he was told Drew Gulak won’t be back anytime soon, if at all. It was also noted that WWE wants to move beyond the situation with Drew Gulak and keep the No Quarter Catch Crew going.
Stay tuned for more updates on Drew Gulak’s status as they become available.
