Fightful is reporting that Sonya Deville (real name Daria Berenato) was arrested last month in New Jersey for having a firearm in her vehicle. It was noted that Deville has a permit for the firearm in Florida, but the permit is not valid in New Jersey.

“Fightful has learned Sonya Deville was arrested in New Jersey recently for having a firearm in her vehicle. She has a permit in Florida, but it wasn’t valid in NJ. She’s in the process of getting it thrown out, and we’re told she started carrying after the home invasion.”

According to TMZ she was arrested in Atlantic City on February 19 after a valet called the cops after discovering the firearm in her glovebox. Deville has been charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession — handgun without permit.

After her home was broken into in 2020, Sonya got help from a judge to help her expedite the Florida permit. There’s said to be no heat on Sonya Deville for the situation as the company is understanding when it comes to why she would want to protect herself following the home invasion. She’s currently due for a court hearing in March, but is working on getting the case thrown out.
