Over the last few months Liv Morgan has been getting a positive reaction from the WWE fans and she rode that wave of momentum to a SmackDown Women’s Title reign. Morgan cashed in Money in the Bank on Ronda Rousey at the Money in the Bank premium live event, and she went on to defend her title against Rousey at SummerSlam last weekend.
The SmackDown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam ended in controversy as Liv Morgan tapped out to the armbar while the referee counted the pin as Ronda’s shoulders were on the mat. After the match Ronda attacked Liv and the referee which led to WWE announcing her suspension.
This week Liv Morgan appeared on SmackDown and she got a very different reaction. As Morgan was being interviewed by Kayla Braxton the fans booed her and chanted “you tapped out.”
Kayla Braxton made it clear that she didn’t appreciate the negative chants toward Liv Morgan when she posted the following on Twitter:
“For those wondering why I looked annoyed – I was disappointed with the disrespectful chants towards our SD Womens Champion.
@YaOnlyLivvOnce is so deserving so hush it when she speaks! 🤫”
