The last few months have been busy for the WWE roster as WrestleMania season has come and gone and now all eyes are focused on the 2023 WWE Draft. The WWE Draft is set to continue tonight on Monday Night Raw, but there are a few notable names missing from the draft pool such as former NXT Champion Bobby Roode.

Fightful Select is reporting that WWE currently expects Bobby Roode to be out of action for the rest of 2023 as he’s currently recovering from neck fusion surgery. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a timetable for Bobby Roode’s return to WWE.

Prior to his absence from WWE programming Bobby Roode had been working in the tag team division alongside Dolph Ziggler. The duo managed to achieve success together as they captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and the Raw Tag Team Championship.

After some time spent off TV, Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler resurfaced in June of last year when they seemingly started a feud with Omos, but WWE never followed up on the feud, possibly due to Roode’s injury. There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE has plans to reunite Ziggler and Roode on TV once Roode is able to return to the ring.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
