The annual Survivor Series premium live event is set to take place from Chicago on Saturday night and originally Carlito was set to face off against Santos Escobar.

This week during Friday Night SmackDown, Carlito made his way out and he cut a promo addressing Santos Escobar turning on Rey Mysterio. It didn’t take long for Santos Escobar to respond which led to Carlito and Escobar brawling. WWE officials tried to break it up, but Escobar took Carlito down when he jumped off the barricade and delivered a knee to Carlito’s shoulder.

After the commercial break Carlito was shown being helped backstage when Escobar attacked him again. As Escobar was trying to break Carlito’s arm Dragon appeared out of nowhere and made the save.

Later in the show SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was being interviewed when he shared an update on Carlito. He said that Carlito is hurt badly, so he has no choice but to postpone the match with Santos Escobar at Survivor Series.

Dragon Lee then stepped in and begged Nick Aldis not to postpone the match. Lee told Aldis that he wants to teach Santos Escobar a lesson, and Nick Aldis told him he’s in as he made Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar official for Survivor Series.
