It’s been a rough few weeks for the WWE roster as a number of talented names have been sidelined due to injury. Last month it was reported that Apollo Crews had been sidelined after suffering an injury during a match on SmackDown, and Crews confirmed the injury today.
The former Intercontinental Champion announced on Instagram that he suffered a torn pec and is set to undergo surgery. Crews posted the following:
“Heading into surgery today.
A few weeks ago on SmackDown, I tore my pec—an unfortunate situation. Sometimes, you do everything right, but there are just some things beyond your control. I’m looking forward to the road ahead, attacking it with a positive and unstoppable mindset.
And enjoy my clean shave! It has been a while since I have seen this baby face!”
At this point in time there doesn’t appear to be a timetable for Apollo’s return as he’ll likely be out of action for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned for updates.
