We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 39 and back in January it was Rhea Ripley who won the women’s Royal Rumble match. Shortly after Rhea Ripley confirmed that she will be challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.

On the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte Flair faced off against Shotzi as Rhea Ripley watched from the ringside area. After the match Ripley got in the ring with a mic and she came face to face with her WrestleMania opponent.

Ripley told Flair that when she looks into her eyes she sees Charlotte’s insecurities and at WrestleMania she’s going to take the one thing that makes her feel important when she takes her title. Charlotte said that Rhea Ripley’s improvement may be something to be proud of, but she will outwork anyone because she takes the business so seriously. The Queen said Rhea can rip apart anyone that stands in her way, except for her, and then she dropped the mic and left.

Fightful Select is reporting that the Charlotte Flair/Rhea Ripley promo “deviated a little bit off the original plan.” However, it wasn’t specified what the original plan was or how it deviated from it.

WrestleMania 39 is set to air live from SoFi Stadium on April 1 and April 2. It’s been rumored that WWE is considering putting Charlotte vs. Rhea in the main event spot for night 1, but so far no official announcements have been made. Stay tuned for updates.
