WWE released a statement today about Jack Swagger. The All American American said on the Chael Sonnen podcast earlier this week that he asked for his release and he’s been booked for an indie show in the UK, but it doesn’t look like WWE is going to let him go that easily.
Their statement said: “Jack Swagger has not been granted a release form his WWE contract. When he is granted his release, Jack Swagger will remain under exclusive contract to WWE for 90 days and will be compensated accordingly during that time.”
Therefore, don’t expect to see Jack Swagger on Impact Wrestling any time soon, because it looks like he’s going to be held under that loathsome non-compete clause which has caused countless former WWE employees such headaches in the past.
We’ll let you know if/when we hear anything from Camp Swagger.
We’re excited to see Kurt Angle do anything at this point. He could show up on Raw in a tuxedo and read “The Grapes of Wrath” and we’d be okay with it. As long as he gets back in a WWE ring soon. Well, it looks like he’s at least heading in that direction. (The whole getting back in a WWE ring part, not the part about reading a John Steinbeck classic.)
Angle just sent out an Instagram post where he posed with The Savior of Misbehavior, Corey Graves. Graves might have left his days in the ring behind him, but he still makes up the best part of the Raw announce team.
Angle has been rumored to return on Raw the night after WrestleMania for possibly a manager role of the general persuasion, maybe, if Mick Foley can work out his current insurance troubles and get that hip replacement he needs.
It’s great to see Angle any way we can, and it’s also very important to note just how dapper they both look in those suits. Looks like they were in the middle of doing something important.

Of course if he does go to used-to-be tna he’ll win their title on the first night he’s there because that’s how they roll.
