Conor McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 on Saturday night, and now McGregor is the first man to hold the UFC Featherweight Title and UFC Lightweight Title simultaneously. Conor McGregor has certainly proved that he’s a draw, and WWE is reportedly interested in bringing Conor McGregor in.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Triple H wants to make a deal with Conor McGregor. Meltzer speculated that it would likely be for a WrestleMania appearance. As far as he knows there’s no deal in place right now, but it’s reportedly being talked about.
Conor McGregor made headlines several times earlier this year after he disrespected the wrestling business. It all started when Conor referred to WWE guys as “messed up p**sies” during an interview. The stars of the wrestling world didn’t react well to Conor McGregor’s comments, and since then several wrestlers have challenged him to step into the ring.
Shortly before UFC 202, McGregor doubled down on his negative comments and he took aim at John Cena.
“What’s the main guy? John Cena, he’s 40. He’s walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt talking about how no one can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat 40 year old failed Mr. Olympia motherf**ker. You know what I mean? They’re dweebs those guys.”
It remains to be seen if a deal will be made, but Triple H was in attendance for UFC 205 on Saturday night, and you can check out some photos below.
