WWE has been making some major changes to championship belts in recent months and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles are long overdue for a fresh look.

Cultaholic reports that a source within WWE confirmed that potential new tag team title belts were photo and video tested ahead of the October 16 episode of Raw. A title belt reveal was rehearsed in the middle of the ring over the course of 30 minutes with a production assistant removing a cloth to reveal the new title belts.

It was noted that two sets of new tag team title belts were tested and they had radically different designs. One set of belts was reportedly all gold with black straps whereas the other set featured on red strap and one blue strap with a silver and gold design.

At this point in time it’s not clear if there are plans to just use one set of titles, or if WWE plans to split up the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship and use both sets. A potential reveal date for the belts is unknown, but WWE appears to be in the early stages of final approval.

Currently The Judgment Day are the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions with Finn Balor & Damian Priest holding the belts. Balor & Priest defeated Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes to win the belts on Raw, so it will be interesting to see where the tag team division goes from here.

Stay tuned for updates.
