Over the last few months LA Knight has become one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE, and it sounds like company officials are trying to make sure he remains on the roster for some time.
PWInsider is reporting that LA Knight and WWE officials have been negotiating a new long-term contract. It’s being said that the contract is either close to being finalized or already signed. The belief is that the deal is for as long as five years.
It’s also being reported that moving forward LA Knight will be pushed as one of the top babyfaces on SmackDown, if not the top babyface on the brand. Things seem to be going well for LA Knight as he’s also been one of the top merchandise sellers in recent months.
Recently it was also reported by WrestleVotes that LA Knight is now internally listed as the top babyface on SmackDown. Knight recently picked up a big win over The Miz at Payback, and after the match John Cena showed his respect for Knight. We’ll have to wait and see where things go from here, but it looks like LA Knight could be with WWE for years to come.
