You never know who might return during WrestleMania season and a few weeks ago Trish Stratus made her return to WWE programming. Stratus aligned herself with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch & Lita and the three stars are currently set to face off against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39.
It seems that there’s more to Trish’s return than meets the eye as the WRKD Wrestling account recently reported that plans call for Trish Stratus to turn heel at some point and face Becky Lynch at the SummerSlam premium live event later this year.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that they also heard rumors of a Trish Stratus heel turn prior to the Hall of Famer’s return to WWE TV. The sense is that she’s going to turn heel during this run, but the Observer notes that the only thing they’ve confirmed so far is that there are twists and turns coming.
One way or another it’s going to be interesting to see how things play out with Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch as the two stars seem to be on the same page at the moment, so we’ll have to wait and see how things fall apart after their big match at WrestleMania 39.
