WWE has been shuffling the deck in a big way in recent weeks as numerous stars have switched brands due to the transfer window. Now it looks like another big name is set to make moves soon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that current plans call for Drew McIntyre to move from Raw to SmackDown. Drew will be working with Damian Priest when he first arrives on the brand.
However, it was noted that the idea to move Drew to the blue brand was established long before the feud with Priest was planned, which is why Drew had been pushing Roman Reigns in his promos for months.
It’s also being reported that as of right now there is a plan to get to a Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre feud. The feud between Rhodes and McIntyre was originally planned for 2023 before Cody Rhodes ended up not winning the championship at WrestleMania 40.
Presumably a potential Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre feud would pick up some time after WrestleMania, as Cody is rumored for a match with John Cena at WrestleMania 41, and Drew is expected to face Damian Priest at the event.
