The third annual women’s Royal Rumble match took place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday night, and only a few competitors were confirmed for the match ahead of time.
The match featured quite a few stars from NXT, as well as some former WWE Superstars who returned for the match.
According to PWInsider Sasha Banks was originally set to compete in the match, and she was listed internally as a competitor, but her Royal Rumble spot went to Kelly Kelly.
There’s currently no word on why she didn’t wrestle, but due to the cancellation of her recent TV matches with Lacey Evans it’s been rumored that she’s injured.
