A few weeks ago WWE released a number of talents from the main roster, and then the releases trickled down to NXT. Earlier this week it was reported that WWE parted ways with a ton of employees, and it looks like the cuts have gone global.
According to talkSPORT, International Vice President of Communications for WWE, Dan Humphrey, was one of the most influential staff members in the UK office, and he is not longer with the company.
Humphrey had led global PR for the company, and just last week his team had won PRWeek’s Best Global Brand. It was also noted that other offices in Japan, India and Germany have lost many key figures, and that WWE’s international offices have lost a large portion of their staff.
It was recently reported that the WWE Digital department was hit extremely hard by the firings, and that several divisions in WWE have been “folded together” to minimize redundancies within the company.
Stay tuned for more updates on WWE releases as they become available.
