A few weeks ago it was reported that Brian Pillman Jr.’s AEW contract had expired and it was later reported that Brian was spotted training at the WWE Performance Center. This immediately led to speculation regarding WWE possibly signing the former AEW star, and now it looks like Brian Pillman Jr. could be getting an opportunity with the company.

Recently Brian Pillman Jr. participated in a virtual signing for Captain’s Corner, and he teased that he’s excited for his future because he has something huge coming up for his career.

“It’s a tough business and it’s a long road to the top if you want to rock n roll. Being here today and getting to reminisce about some of the past moments of my career has really cheered me up and put me in a position to where I’m excited for the future. There is a lot to come, I can’t speak on it right now, it’s kind of in the works. I have a huge moment, a huge opportunity coming up in my career to continue making memories, to continue coming up with new gear ideas and sharing my version of pro wrestling with you all. Thank you for supporting me.”

Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net is now reporting that a deal between Brian Pillman Jr. and WWE is now in place, or is close to being finalized. Sources have also reportedly indicated that the plan is for Brian Pillman Jr. to move to Orlando, Florida by the end of August so he can begin training at the WWE Performance Center full-time.

It was also noted that Brian Pillman Jr.canceled some non-wrestling commitments later in the year which had ties to AEW talent and coaches. Stay tuned for more updates on Brian Pillman Jr.’s status as they become available.
