The annual WWE premium live event schedule is normally full of exciting shows, and you never know when WWE might bring an old event back. For years now people have been wondering if the company would ever hold another Evolution PLE, and it looks like that could be happening sooner than later.
PW Nexus and Bodyslam.net are reporting that WWE is looking to bring the Evolution PLE back in the near future. The current plan is to hold the event at Mohegan Sun: Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut on July 5th, but that plan is only said to be tentative.
The first WWE Evolution PLE took place on October 28, 2018 and it was an all women’s professional wrestling show. It aired live from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, and is so far the first and last WWE PLE to feature only women’s matches.
The show featured several title matches as the NXT Women’s Championship, NXT Championship, SmackDown Women’s Championship and Raw Women’s Championship were all defended. Ronda Rousey competed in the main event and she managed to retain her Raw Women’s Championship when she made Nikki Bella tap out to the armbar.
