It was recently reported that WWE released somewhere between 10 to 15 staff members last Friday, including longtime ring announcer Toby Chimel, who had officially been working for the company since 1991.
Now another release has been revealed, as SuperLuchas is reporting that WWE has parted ways with Spanish commentator Jerry Soto.
Jerry Soto had been working WWE broadcasts doing international Raw and SmackDown shows since 2011.
He was furloughed back in March as part of the coronavirus related budget cuts, and he was officially released last Friday.
Soto issued the following statement to SuperLuchas:
“Hi. Officially, I don’t have a job. I take a bit of your time to tell you that I’ve been on furlough since March. Now, the time has come to get another job, preferably acting . I write it here so that you have me in mind with employment opportunities. Thanks for your time. It is not the end, but another beginning. If you’ve lost your job too, patience, joy and strength, and everyone, a disinfected hug!”
