WWE Backlash aired live from San Juan, Puerto Rico over the weekend and one of the most talked about matches coming out of the show was Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest. Bad Bunny was able to defeat his former tag team partner in a street fight and both men have been receiving positive reviews for how they performed in the match.
PWInsider reports that there’s been a “ton of praise” for Damian Priest and everything he’s done to level himself up in recent months. One source said that Priest “has to be seen” as one of the “top level players” in WWE right now.
Damian Priest will have a chance to take his career to new heights in the coming weeks as he’s currently set to compete in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament which kicks off on Raw tonight. It seems that Priest’s feud with Bad Bunny is done for now, so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here following their big match at Backlash.
WWE officials were also said to be extremely happy with Bad Bunny’s performance in the match as well. It’s not clear when we’ll see Bad Bunny on WWE programming again, but it’s rumored the company is hoping to get him for SummerSlam.
