This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the TD Garden in Boston and the show featured several big moments that helped to set the stage for WrestleMania 39. AEW also had a big night over the weekend when the Revolution pay-per-view aired live on Sunday, and MJF defended his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in the main event.

MJF certainly knows how to get people talking and during the main event he splashed a drink in the face of a child who was in the audience. The spot received a lot of feedback as it was later reported that the child was not a plant.

Fightful Select is reporting that there was originally a spot planned for Raw where a wrestler would throw a drink in another wrestler’s face during a match. Some backstage heard about the plans and thought it could be a shot at AEW, or a reference to the spot with MJF throwing a drink in a child’s face at Revolution. However, it’s being said that this was already in the plans sent to many before the Revolution pay-per-view aired on Sunday.

The segment did not end up taking place on Monday Night Raw, but as of Monday afternoon and evening it was still included in some of the outlined plans for the show. One talent theorized that the spot involving the drink was likely nixed due to the spot the took place with MJF during the main event at Revolution.
