It’s been a rough week for Paige, Xavier Woods, Brad Maddox and a few other wrestling stars as well. Last week Paige was targeted in a hacking scandal, and several private photos and videos leaked onto the internet.
The leak has been a very hot topic as of late, but WWE officials are keeping quiet in regards to the explicit photos and videos, and they have yet to address the situation publicly or issue a statement.
PWInsider reports that WWE officials held a backstage meeting at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to discuss the leaks before Raw on Monday. Triple H and Vince McMahon were reportedly present, but it’s not known exactly what was discussed.
There’s been a lot of talk about whether or not Paige or Xavier Woods will be punished because of the leaks, and Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that company officials don’t plan to punish them.
WWE officials are waiting for the situation to blow over, however, it was noted that they could take some sort of action if sponsors start to complain.
Although WWE has kept quiet in regards to the leak, there were quite a few fans in Brooklyn chanting “We Want Paige” on Monday. For now it seems that the company policy is just to ignore the noise, so we’ll have to wait and see if all the chants die down anytime soon.
