The wrestling landscape has certainly changed following the emergence of All Elite Wrestling, and while some have downplayed the idea of a war between AEW and WWE, others have thrown fuel on the fire.

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite aired on TNT on Saturday night, and after the show was over Eddie Kingston took several shots at WWE while cutting a promo. The promo sent social media into a frenzy, but it seems that WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray did not approve of Kingston’s shots at WWE.

During an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray praised Kingston and said if he had to pick one person to do a promo for him in a promo war he would most likely pick Eddie Kingston because of his believability. Bully then went on to say that Kingston should “shut the f–k up and stay in his lane.”

“But in this case, Eddie needs to shut the f–k up and stay in his lane. And his lane is [of] an AEW guy speaking about AEW, and flying the flag for AEW. Then, I’m completely onboard. Tell me how great AEW is, fly the flag for your company, show me that you wear your heart on your sleeve.”

The Hall of Famer went on to say that it would be understandable if a former WWE star like Jericho or Cody referenced the company, but he pointed out that Kingston never worked for WWE.

“You were indie guy for the majority of his career until this company [AEW] took a chance on you. You’ve learned to love it and everything about it. Don’t take the easy way out and knock the WWE.

“If Cody wants to destroy a throne, I get it. If Jericho wants to say FU, I get it. But, Eddie? Why? There’s no reason for him to say [such stuff].”
