In 2019 Jon Moxley decided to part ways with WWE when his contract expired, and shortly after that he made his All Elite Wrestling debut at Double or Nothing.
Fast forward to one year later and Jon Moxley successfully defended his AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing on Saturday night against Brodie Lee.
It’s safe to say that Mox has found success outside of WWE, and Sgt. Slaughter recently took to Twitter to congratulate him when he posted the following:
“@JonMoxley “Congrats” on ur life after leaving the Flagship @WWE VERY happy for U, especially since I was the 1st to go up against “The Emperor” & fight for MY FREEDOM👉🏻Luckily U got to by pass the lawsuits & courtroom appearances💰Wishing U continued sucesss”

In addition to being AEW World Champion, Moxley is also the current IWGP United States Champion.
It was recently announced that Jon Moxley’s next AEW World Championship defense will take place at Fyter Fest where he will defend against Brian Cage who won the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing.
