It’s certainly not uncommon for WWE to shorten the names of Superstars. Talents such as Rusev, Elias and others have undergone name changes over the years and back in 2017 Erick Rowan’s name was shortened to simply Rowan.
This week on WWE SmackDown Live he was referred to as Erick Rowan once again, and it looks like the change has been made official as his profile on WWE.com has been updated to reflect the change.
Erick Rowan is currently wrapped up in the Roman Reigns mystery attacker angle, and this week on SmackDown Live Daniel Bryan claimed that the attacker was a man who looked like Rowan.
