Anything can happen in WWE, and the company constantly makes changes at any given time. That means a Superstar could undergo a name, or gimmick change when you least expect it.
In the past WWE has shortened names for Superstars such as Cesaro, Rusev and others, and now it seems that Andrade “Cien” Almas is the latest wrestler to feel the wrath of this trend.
This week on SmackDown Live, Almas was simply referred to as Andrade, as opposed to Andrade “Cien” Almas, and his WWE.com profile has been updated to reflect the change.
Andrade faced off against former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio in a singles match on SmackDown Live this week.
The end of the match came when Zelina Vega distracted the referee, and Andrade hit Mysterio with the hammerlock DDT for the win.
