WWE Champion Set To Face Impact Champion For First Time In History

The stars of the Impact Wrestling roster are trying to get people talking as they tape several weeks of TV in Orlando, Florida over the next few days, and the company kicked things off in a big way with a huge title change.

Austin Aries made his return to the company, and shortly after the TV tapings Impact announced that Austin Aries had become the new Impact Global Champion.

Aries parted ways with WWE a few months ago, but now he’s set to face off against a WWE title holder in a match later this month.

Destiny Wrestling has announced that Impact Global Champion Austin Aries will be facing WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne at their event on Sunday, January 21 in Toronto.

Pete Dunne was one of the breakout stars of 2017, and many people feel that his match with Tyler Bate at NXT Takeover was the best match of the year.

It’s safe to say that Aries vs. Dunne will be a match to remember for fans who attend the event.
