WWE fans won’t be seeing JBL on SmackDown Live this week, because the WWE Hall of Famer recently announced that he’s stepping down from his job at the commentary table. Fans have been wondering who JBL’s replacement would be, and now we have our answer because WWE has announced that Corey Graves will be taking over.
BREAKING: @WWEGraves will take over for @JCLayfield on #SDLive starting tomorrow; @McGuinnessNigel will step in for #205Live and #MainEvent!
— WWE (@WWE) September 4, 2017
Corey Graves will be starting his new job on WWE SmackDown Live tomorrow night, and as of this writing WWE has yet to make any announcement regarding his status on Raw, so it appears that he’ll be pulling double duty. But he will no longer be calling the action on 205 Live every Tuesday night, as WWE also announced that Nigel McGuinness will be taking over commentary duties on 205 Live.
It looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Corey Graves on a weekly basis, but it’s safe to say that most people won’t mind as Graves has become somewhat of a fan favorite commentator since he joined the main roster last year.

A fresh face (or voice) is always good after a while. Especially one as good as CG.
Bad move, I would rather of seen some different. I can’t stand his voice on TV. Guess I will not be watching much of smack down anymore.
