Why WWE Is Using So Many Guest Coaches At The Performance Center

The WWE Performance Center has played a big role in developing talent since it opened a few years ago, and from time to time familiar faces make their way through the Performance Center to work with talents as a guest coach.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Shane Helms is set to work as a coach at the Performance Center this week, and he’s also scheduled to work as an agent at NXT live events.

Right now there’s only one WWE Performance Center in Orlando, but it’s been rumored for a while that WWE officials are interested in opening up more of them in other locations.

The company is currently looking for reliable veterans to hire as coaches for their developmental system, and the guys who are being brought in for one week stints are likely the ones they’ll choose from.
