Stephanie Vaquer has been one of the top stars in the WWE women’s division ever since she was called up to the main roster and the last few months have been full of ups and downs.
Back in August, Vaquer returned after several months away and she set her sights on the WWE Women’s World Championship. She ultimately captured the title for the second time in her career when she defeated Liv Morgan in Chile, but she later dropped the belt back to Morgan at Money in the Bank earlier this month.
Originally Stephanie Vaquer was set to face off against Becky Lynch in a match to determine the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship on Raw earlier this week. However, the match was canceled as Adam Pearce announced that Vaquer is not medically cleared to compete.
Dave Meltzer claimed on Wrestling Observer Radio that the illness Stephanie Vaquer is dealing with is not something terribly serious. However, she was announced as being out “indefinitely” because there’s been no determination regarding that timeline for her return.
“She’s ill. I was told it’s nothing terribly serious or anything but she’s ill and she’s out indefinitely in the sense that it’s not like it’s a week. It’s something that’s indeterminate yet as far as when she’ll be back.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Stephanie Vaquer’s return as they become available.
