WWE will be heading to Saudi Arabia for Super ShowDown on Friday, June 7 but a few of the company’s top stars will not be making the trip.
Kevin Owens has been wrapped up in the WWE Title picture as of late, but he won’t be continuing his feud with Kofi Kingston at the event, because Owens isn’t on the card.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, company sources have said Owens was asked not to go to Saudi Arabia by his family. Others have said there are a number of reasons in regards to why he’s not going.
It’s also worth noting that Kevin Owens is good friends with Sami Zayn, and Zayn won’t be appearing on the show because of his Syrian ancestry.
When Owens asked for the show off WWE officials never even asked him why.
They reportedly gave him the show off and there was no pressure for KO to change his mind.
