CM Punk was one of the key figures on the road to WrestleMania this year as he carried the World Heavyweight Championship into the night two main event at WrestleMania 42. Unfortunately for CM Punk he ended up dropping the championship when he was defeated by Roman Reigns on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
On the following episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk told the fans that he wasn’t going on vacation, but the Second City Saint has not appeared on WWE programming since that episode.
False Finish is reporting that CM Punk is currently awaiting creative to return to TV. According to the report CM Punk’s schedule and creative were shifted after WWE made the decision to send Gunther to SmackDown and bring Jacob Fatu to Raw to feud with Roman Reigns.
During his promo on the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania, CM Punk teased a potential title match with Cody Rhodes, and Cory Hays is reporting that the working plan is for the company to do a CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes match at some point.
