It’s been a long month for The Architect. He re-injured his knee on the January 30th episode of Raw courtesy of the Samoan Bulldozer when Joe made his main-roster debut the day after the Royal Rumble in shocking fashion. Seth Rollins tore his right MCL during the attack, and his WrestleMania status has been questionable ever since.
However, Seth Rollins is a man with an indomitable spirit and insurmountable courage to say the least.
WWE announced on Monday that Seth Rollins will be appearing on the February 27th episode of Raw in a sit-down interview to address his current status. Rumors have been swirling that Rollins could make it back in time for WrestleMania, but his program has been in limbo for the last month due to his injury.
Although Mick Foley made the comment to Stephanie last week that she was the reason Rollins would be missing his second WrestleMania in a row, that could always be fuel for a swerve. The fact that Rollins will be appearing on Raw next week is a good sign he will be ready in time for Orlando.
His recent social media posts directed at Triple H are even better signs he’ll be competing on April 2nd.
WWE also usually keeps injured talents off of television until they’re ready to maximize the surprise of their eventual return.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio: “Seth is considered good for WrestleMania. So, Triple H vs. Seth is on and that’s what they’re working towards. Maybe that’s why they didn’t tip their hand, but they are going with the idea that that match is still on and he will be ready for WrestleMania.”
Therefore, keep your fingers crossed on Monday. It very well might be another building block toward the eventual blow-off match between Seth Rollins and Triple H that has been building since Trips screwed Rollins out of the Universal Title in August of last year.
