Kevin Owens has been on quite the roll as he’s managed to main event WrestleMania two years in a row now. This year Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeated The Usos to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, and last year Kevin Owens was defeated by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin who came out of retirement for one more match.
On the road to WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens talked a lot of trash about the state of Texas as he tried to lure Steve Austin out of retirement. Obviously it worked, but it seems that Owens had some explaining to do during the WWE live event in El Paso on Sunday night.
Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle defeated Imperium in the main event and after the match they set up a table then Cody Rhodes asked what they should do with it. Owens got on the mic and addressed the fact that he said a lot of bad things about Texas. He said he’d love to make it up to the Texas fans and then he jumped through the table to a big pop from the crowd. Kevin Owens then signed a piece of the table which was given to a fan at ringside.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn are currently the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, but The Usos will be getting their rematch on the April 28th episode of SmackDown. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
