WrestleMania 32 had a lot of big moments and one of the biggest moments of them all involved a trio of legends. After defeating the New Day in a handicap match, the League of Nations got on the mic to talk some trash, and then something awesome happened. Shawn Michaels’ music hit and he made his way to the stage, followed by Mick Foley, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The three legends then made their way to the ring and hit some finishers to the delight of the crowd.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Vince McMahon hoped for Batista to be a part of the segment as well, but he turned it down. Back in January it was reported that Batista had met with Vince McMahon at the Royal Rumble and he had pitched an idea for non-physical role for Batista at WrestleMania 32. It was rumored for months that he was offered a guest referee spot in the main event, but apparently that wasn’t the case.

Batista is currently busy with his movie career as he’s filming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and he recently announced that he has joined the cast of “Blade Runner 2.” His last WrestleMania appearance was at WrestleMania 30 when he faced Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Batista lost the match when he tapped out to Daniel Bryan, but he stuck around for a few more months before he “quit” in June of 2014.

Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Steve Austin making their grand entrance was without a doubt one of the best and most exciting moments at WrestleMania 32. Do you think it would have been even better if Batista had accepted Vince McMahon’s offer? Sound off in the comments below.

  1. Unfortunately Batista is going to be mostly remembered for his last run, which wasn’t great. He needs to stay away for a while longer before anyone will do anything but boo.
