WrestleMania season is always one of the most exciting times of the year to be a wrestling fan as you never know who might end up returning. Leading up to WrestleMania 20 former WWE Champion Mick Foley started coming up with ideas for an in-ring return, and he brought them straight to Vince McMahon.

During a recent appearance on Throwing Down with Renee & Miesha, Mick Foley talked about the idea he pitched to Vince McMahon which was for him to win the 2004 Royal Rumble and unify the titles at WrestleMania 20.

“I said, ‘I’d like to enter the Rumble and win it, and because I’m technically not a SmackDown or a RAW guy, I would like to challenge both champions to a three-way match, win that at ‘Mania, and become the Undisputed Champion.’ And without even blinking, Vince just replies, ‘I have no interest whatsoever in doing that.’”

Even though he did end up competing at WrestleMania 20 the Hall of Famer was not in the title match as he teamed up with the The Rock to take on Evolution.
