Last week it was announced that Vince McMahon was stepping down as Chairman and CEO of WWE after the Wall Street Journal released a report about the WWE board investigating Vince. He proceeded to make a brief appearance on WWE SmackDown after the news broke, but he didn’t say much other than the official WWE tagline.
This week Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Raw. Vince grabbed the mic and thanked the fans. He said that tonight was the 1,517th episode of Monday Night Raw.
Vince thanked the fans for making Raw the longest running episodic show in history then pointed out that Raw has been on the air for almost 30 years. Mr. McMahon said that 20 of those 30 years have been dominated by one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. He then hyped up John Cena’s return next week and left.
