Last year Triple H took over WWE creative when Vince McMahon retired, but in recent months Vince has been getting more and more involved with the creative side of things despite the fact that he said he wasn’t going to be in the weeds.

PWInsider reported ahead of Raw that this week’s episode would have “Vince McMahon fingerprints” all over it similar to last week’s episode of SmackDown.

Vince McMahon has been making changes remotely since WrestleMania 39, but the belief is that his influence will continue to grow in the coming weeks and months as WWE moves closer to the Endeavor deal becoming a reality. Vince was not present at the WWE Raw tapings in Georgia this week.

Dave Meltzer also shared an update on Vince’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that McMahon has taken more of an interest in creative recently.

“Vince has taken more and more interest in this. Today (Raw) was another example of that. This was Vince McMahon’s show.”

Vince McMahon made some big changes to Friday Night SmackDown last week as three previously advertised matches were removed from the card. One way or another it doesn’t sound like McMahon will be loosening his grip on WWE creative anytime soon.
