Roman Reigns was brutally beaten by Triple H on Raw this week and following the attack WWE announced that Roman Reigns had to undergo surgery. Reigns underwent surgery to repair his shattered nose which WWE said was injured at the hands of Triple H.

Of course a video of Byron Saxton handing Roman an item that was likely a blood capsule surfaced shortly after Raw. This led many fans to question whether or not Roman was actually injured or not. But earlier this week it was reported via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that word going around is Reigns may have had some sort of pre-existing injury but that’s not confirmed. The beatdown from Triple H is rumored to have been a way to write Roman’s surgery into the storyline.

In any case, a new video has surfaced showing footage from a house show where Roman Reigns may have injured his nose. The event took place in Baltimore back on December 30, 2015 and Roman was facing Sheamus when Sheamus put him through a table. After Roman goes through the table a piece of it falls down and smacks him in the face seemingly injuring his nose. You can check out the video below.

The YouTuber who posted the video ZALAPHOTO noted that Reigns looked frustrated after the match and could be seen cursing to himself. The description under the video gives a little more insight into what happened and it reads as follows:

“After going through the table, you can see that Sheamus noticed he was hurt, and they whisper something to each other during the pin. I didn’t catch the aftermath on video, but Roman’s nose was bleeding, so the referee had to put gloves on to check him out. Sheamus stalled by taunting the crowd. After a minute, the ref cleared Roman to continue and they finished the match.

I don’t know if Roman broke his nose or what, but he seemed pretty frustrated about it, sighing and cursing to himself. You can see from the photo at the end that his nose was injured to some degree.

Ever since this happened, Roman has had a scar on the bridge of his nose. Look at any closeup footage of his face taken since 12/30/15 and you can see it.”

Many fans thought that WWE was using a fake injury to keep Roman off of TV so that he wouldn’t get booed leading up to WrestleMania 32. But if Roman really was injured this definitely seems like this is the type of thing that could have caused it.
