WWE has gone through some major changes since the company was sold a few years ago, and it’s clear that we are now in a different era with TKO being the parent company of WWE. Recently some surprising names were released from WWE and it was recently reported that The New Day mutually agreed to be released from the company after they were asked to restructure their deals and denied the request.
Following The New Day’s departure it was reported by PWInsider that a talent who has been “majorly pushed” was asked to take a 50% pay cut and allegedly agreed to do so. Since then there’s been a lot of speculation regarding the identity of the wrestler who took the cut.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the 50% pay cut is believed to be the case, but it’s being said that the person who took the pay cut is not a tippy top person.
According to the report there have been recent raises, and there have been people who were asked to take cuts. It was also noted that it’s clear who the company views as the top people on the roster, and none of them have been asked to take a pay cut.
On a somewhat related note, TKO will be announcing quarterly earnings for the first quarter of the year later this week on Wednesday. Stay tuned for updates.
