The NXT roster is loaded with talent at the moment, but it looks like there are a few names that WWE is looking to call up to the main roster sooner than later.
This week on NXT fans saw Imperium member Fabian Aichner walk out on his partner Marcel Barthel during a tag team match against The Creed Brothers, and it seems that the group is coming to an end.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current plan is to split up Gunther and Marcel Barthel. The idea is to move them to the main roster, but they won’t be working together, and the expectation is that they will likely be called up to different brands.
It was recently reported that SmackDown has been heavily discussed as a destination, but it’s not clear if it is Gunther or Marcel who could end up on the brand. There’s currently no word on future plans for Fabian Aichner. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
