Chelsea Green finally became the new WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam when she won a five way ladder match. Unfortunately for Chelsea Green she suffered an injury on the following episode of SmackDown and she later confirmed that she’s dealing with a broken orbital bone.
After news of the injury was confirmed there was a lot of speculation regarding whether or not Chelsea would potentially be stripped of the WWE Women’s Championship. Last week on SmackDown, Nick Aldis addressed the situation when he told Chelsea Green that she has 30 days to get cleared.
During a recent episode of The AJ Styles Show, The Phenomenal One shared an update on plans for Chelsea Green moving forward as he indicated that she will be wearing a protective mask on her face.
“They’re gonna throw a mask on her, I’m sure of it. I actually did get to see her. She came down to the trainers. I believe she lives in Florida. I saw her with the trainers at the Performance Center. She’s doing okay. She’s not mad about the situation. It is what it is. She said she has some bad luck.”
