It’s been a little while since fans have seen Cesaro on WWE programming as he quietly parted ways with the company back in February when his contract expired. The former WWE United States Champion is currently a free agent and has been laying low.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cesaro has a young child and one of the reasons he’s been taking time off from wrestling is so he can spend time with family. It was also noted that he did trademark the name CSRO just in case he goes elsewhere.
Tony Khan has spoken highly of Cesaro in the past, but it’s not known if AEW has made him an offer. With the size of the new contracts WWE has given there’s a feeling that Cesaro could return to WWE because he’s comfortable there even though he knows the company will never use him at the top. However, it’s not definite that he’ll be returning to WWE.
Cesaro has been in talks with Conrad Thompson about doing Starrcast this year, and according to people close to him he has considered other projects that he would not be allowed to do if he were part of WWE.
