In recent weeks there have been some shocking WWE releases and last week it was reported that The New Day had parted ways with the company. According to reports Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were asked to restructure their deals, and they mutually agreed to part ways with WWE after they declined to do so.
Following the departure of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, there’s been a lot of speculation among fans regarding what the future holds for former New Day stablemate Big E, but it appears that he will be staying with the company.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that the belief is Roman Reigns will remain a part of the WWE kickoff shows for premium live events moving forward.
It’s being said that Big E is viewed internally as a valuable presence and is seen as a key reason for the success of the WWE kickoff shows that air ahead of premium live events.
At this point it’s not clear what’s next for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as they are currently waiting out the rest of their 90 day non-compete. Once they are free agents they will be allowed to go wherever they choose. It hasn’t been confirmed that they’ll be going to AEW, but it has been reported that there’s a lot of excitement regarding the possibility of them joining the company.
